Playback

Starting playback

Tap any song to start playing it. Tunora opens a full-screen Now Playing view with artwork, progress and controls. Swipe or tap the mini-player at the bottom of the app to return to Now Playing at any time — it stays visible while something is loaded, no matter which tab you're on.

Using the play queue

The queue is the list of songs lined up to play. From a song's options you can choose Play Next to insert it right after the current track, or Add to Queue to append it to the end.

Open the queue from Now Playing to see what's coming up. You can reorder upcoming songs by dragging them into the order you want, and tap any item to jump straight to it.

Shuffle and Repeat

Shuffle plays the current queue in a random order. Repeat cycles through three modes:

  • Off — playback stops after the last song in the queue.
  • All — the whole queue repeats from the beginning.
  • One — the current song repeats continuously.

Both controls are available in the Now Playing view.

Seeking, and skipping tracks

Drag the progress bar in Now Playing to scrub to any point in the current song. Use the Previous and Next buttons to move between tracks in the queue. Tapping Previous shortly after a song starts returns to the earlier track; later in a song it restarts the current one.

Sleep Timer

The Sleep Timer automatically pauses playback after a period you choose — handy for falling asleep to music. Set it from Settings or the Now Playing controls. When the timer reaches zero, Tunora pauses playback; it can also wait for the current track to finish before stopping so a song isn't cut off. Turn it off at any time by selecting the “Off” option.

Gapless Playback

Gapless Playback removes the short silence between tracks so albums and live recordings play continuously. Enable or disable it in Settings → Audio. The effect is most noticeable on albums that were mastered to flow from one track into the next.

Lock Screen & Control Center

Tunora integrates with iOS Now Playing, so you can see artwork and control playback from the Lock Screen and Control Center, and with connected devices such as headphones and CarPlay-style controls. Play, pause, and skip work without opening the app.

Equalizer

The Equalizer lets you shape the sound — for example boosting bass or brightening treble — using adjustable bands and presets. Open it from Settings → Audio → Equalizer. Changes apply to playback in real time.

The Equalizer is part of Tunora Pro. See Premium & Subscriptions for details on what's included and how it works.

Searching for songs

Open the Search tab and start typing. Tunora shows suggestions as you type and returns matching songs from the connected music services. Tap a result to play it or open its options.

Searching for artists

Search by artist name and open an artist to see their music. Artist detail pages gather top songs and related content in one place so you can keep exploring.

Searching for albums

Search results include albums alongside songs, artists and playlists. Open an album to view and play its tracks.

Searching for playlists

Search surfaces playlists from the connected services. Open one to browse its tracks, and save it to your library to find it again quickly.

Search filters

Use the filter chips above the results to narrow what you see — for example songs, albums, artists or playlists — so you can find the right kind of result faster.

Why a song or result may be missing

Streaming search results come from third-party music services, so availability can change over time and may vary by region. A song might not appear if it isn't offered by the provider, isn't available in your region, or the title/spelling differs.

Try alternate spellings or the artist name, adjust your Region in Settings, and check your connection. Tunora doesn't control which songs a provider offers. Learn more on the Music & Content page.

Artist & genre detail pages

Artist pages collect an artist's music and related content; genre and mood pages let you browse by style. Use them to discover new music beyond a single search.

Related music & the Home feed

The Home tab offers a discovery feed with suggested music, top artists, video charts and genre browsing. While listening, Tunora also surfaces related artists and related playlists so you can keep the music going.

Streaming availability

Discovery and streaming rely on third-party providers. If streaming is temporarily unavailable, it's usually a connectivity issue or a provider-side change. See Troubleshooting for steps, and note that imported local music still plays without a connection.

Library & Local Music

Importing music from the Files app

You can add your own audio files to Tunora from the Files app:

  1. Open Tunora and go to the Library tab.
  2. Start an import and choose Files.
  3. Select the audio files you want to add.

Imported songs are stored on your device and play as local music — including offline, without a connection.

Apple Music import

Where supported, Tunora can import songs using the Apple Music picker. Availability depends on your device, your Apple Music setup and the format of the tracks. If a track can't be imported, try adding the file through the Files app instead.

Wi-Fi music transfer

Wi-Fi transfer lets you send audio files from a computer's web browser to Tunora over the same network:

  1. Make sure your iPhone and computer are on the same Wi-Fi network.
  2. In Tunora's Library, start Wi-Fi music transfer. Tunora shows a web address.
  3. Enter that address in your computer's browser and upload your audio files.
  4. Uploaded songs appear in your library as local music.

If the page won't load, confirm both devices are on the same network and that Tunora is still showing the transfer screen. See Troubleshooting for more.

Local & offline playback

Music you import — from Files, Apple Music or Wi-Fi transfer — is stored on your device and plays even without an internet connection. Streamed content from third-party services requires a connection.

Artwork for imported songs

Tunora reads embedded artwork from your imported files and displays it automatically. If a song shows no artwork, the file likely doesn't contain any embedded image.

Recently Played

Tunora keeps track of what you've been listening to so you can quickly return to recent songs from Home and your library.

Storage usage

Imported music takes up space on your device. You can review local/offline storage usage in your listening insights. To free space, remove songs you no longer need from your library.

Playlists & Favorites

Creating a playlist

Create a playlist from your Library, give it a name, and add songs to it. You can add tracks from search results, artist and album pages, or your imported music using a song's options menu.

Editing a playlist

Open a playlist to add or remove songs and reorder them. Changes are saved to your library automatically.

Custom playlist covers

You can set a custom cover for your playlists to make them easy to recognize. Choose an image when editing the playlist.

Saving remote playlists

When you find a playlist from a connected service, you can save it to your library so it's easy to reopen later. Availability of the songs inside still depends on the provider.

Favorites & personalization

Tap the heart to favorite songs, artists and playlists. Favorited songs are collected into an automatic favorites playlist for quick access from the Favorites tab.

Tunora also builds listening insights — Pulse Insights — including total listening time, tracks played, weekly listening hours and your most-listened tracks, plus song suggestions based on what you enjoy.

Premium

What is Tunora Pro?

Tunora Pro is an optional subscription that unlocks premium functionality in the app. The current benefits and pricing are always shown inside Tunora before you purchase. See Premium & Subscriptions for a full overview.

What features are premium?

Premium currently includes the Equalizer and search pagination beyond the first page of results. Premium features may change or expand in future releases, so the definitive, up-to-date list is shown in the app before purchase.

How subscriptions work

Subscriptions are purchased and billed through your Apple Account via the App Store. Pricing and duration are displayed in Tunora before you confirm. See Premium & Subscriptions for how to manage, cancel or restore.

Managing or canceling your subscription

You manage and cancel Tunora Pro through your Apple Account, not inside Tunora. On your iPhone: open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, select Tunora, and make changes there. You can also use the button on our Premium page.

Restoring purchases

If you already subscribed — for example after reinstalling or on a new device — use Restore Purchases inside Tunora to re-activate Pro. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account used for the original purchase.

Subscription not recognized after purchase

If a completed purchase isn't showing as active, try Restore Purchases, confirm you're using the correct Apple Account, and check your connection. See the troubleshooting steps, and contact us if it persists.

Settings

Region

Set your region in Settings. Region can influence discovery and which streaming results appear, since availability varies by provider and location.

Audio settings

The Audio section gathers playback preferences such as the Equalizer, Gapless Playback and the Sleep Timer.

Appearance

Adjust how Tunora looks from the appearance options in Settings.

Backup & Restore settings

Tunora can back up and restore your settings so your preferences carry over. Use this from the Settings screen when setting up again or moving to a new device.

Connectivity issues

Tunora detects your network status and lets you know when you're offline. Streaming and discovery need an internet connection; imported local music plays offline. If streaming won't load, check Wi-Fi or cellular data and try again.
